This is the code I use on my blog for my news and updates. This code is 100% property of dynamicdrive, I am simply showing you how to integrate this into a tumblr theme. This tutorial and all pictures within it, are property of theamazingtutorials.
Step 1: Copy and paste this code underneath your <head> tag like shown below.
What does everything mean?
Pink - the width of the marquee.
Green -the height.
Purple - the background color for the marquee.
Yellow - You first message (please refer to the note below about messages).
Blue - Your second message.
Grey - Your third message.
NOTE: write you message very carefully and make sure you DON’T delete the ’ at the beginning and end of each message. Also within the message itself you can not use ‘s as it won’t work, so you have to write out it’s as it is for example.
Step 2: Copy and paste this code into the area/box/description/sidebar you want it to be in like shown below in pink.
Voila!
