Writing with background image


Firstly open up an image in Photoshop, any size you prefer. 

Select the horizontal type tool (T) and write anything you’d like on the image.

After you’ve written what you’d like it to say, look over to the layers box to the right. Usually the background image will have a little lock on it

Double click it and a box will come up, click okay. Now the background image layer will be unlocked.

Now you can drag the background image layer on top of the text layer, like this.

Once the background image layer is on top of the text layer, right click the background image and click ‘Create clipping mask”

Your text and image should invert like this



You can now crop it/resize and save it. You’re done.
